Your Continued Care

What happens to my care after March 31?

Your care will continue seamlessly with our new Primary Care Provider, who will take over where Dr. Ruan left off. All of your medical records, treatment plans, and notes will remain in your chart—there's nothing you need to do to transfer information.

Who is the new primary care provider?

We're excited to welcome a new provider who shares Dr. Ruan's commitment to whole-person, lifestyle-focused care. We will share more details about this provider soon, including their background, training, and start date.

Will the other providers still be here?

Yes! All of our other providers remain part of the Texas Center for Lifestyle Medicine team. Our care model continues to be collaborative, meaning you'll still have access to the same supportive team for individualized nutrition guidance, mind-body medicine support, and integrative/primary care services.

Do I need to find a new doctor or switch clinics?

No, you do not need to find a new doctor or move your care. We are handling all transitions internally to ensure you continue receiving the same high-quality, personalized care.

I already have an appointment scheduled with Dr. Ruan after March 31. What happens next?

Our scheduling team will contact you directly to reschedule your appointment with our new provider. If you'd like to be proactive, feel free to call us at 713-690-1991 to make the change.

Will I still be able to contact Dr. Ruan?

While Dr. Ruan won't be seeing patients in the clinic, he remains part of our larger mission. He will continue to support our team's efforts and help develop initiatives that benefit our patients and the broader community.
